Pledge to Protect America’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
“I pledge to fight to restore protections for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and oppose any effort to advance oil and gas leasing and drilling in this national treasure.”
(C) Malkolm Boothroyd
The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is one of the finest examples of wilderness remaining anywhere in the world. There are some places, like Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, that define what it means to be American. The Arctic Refuge is one of these places. Congressional action must be taken to stop dangerous plans to open the Arctic Refuge to oil drilling and restore long-standing bipartisan protections had been in place for more than half a century. To that end, candidates running for office must take a stand against development of this national treasure.
