OUR WORK
Alaska Wilderness League Action turns people power into political power to protect Alaska’s wildest places.
We don’t just talk about conservation, we make it count where decisions are made. AWLA builds champions in Congress, holds politicians accountable when they side with extractive industries, and makes Alaska’s public lands and waters a defining issue in key races across the country.
From the Arctic Refuge to the Tongass to the Western Arctic, we fight to ensure these iconic landscapes aren’t sacrificed for short-term profits. We elevate Alaska conservation in campaigns and in communities — and we back it up with real political action.
Working alongside Tribal partners, coalition allies, and grassroots supporters, we’re building a movement powerful enough to win lasting protections for Alaska — now and for generations to come.
Please note: Alaska Wilderness League Action engages in legislative and political advocacy to protect Alaska’s wild places. Visit the website of our sister organization, Alaska Wilderness League, to learn more about that organization’s education and advocacy to protect Alaska.
